In our busy world, we often don’t take the time to eat healthy.  When our bodies fail to get sufficient nutrients or become bogged down by processed and packaged foods, we often become more vulnerable to sickness and chronic disease.  Our mission at Rejuvenate Café is to provide clean, nutrient-packed products.  One size does not fit all when it comes to wellness.  Each individual has to find the path that best suits their needs.  This page is dedicated to providing a potpourri of information on nutrition, both specific to what we do and just in general.

Why incorporate juicing and smoothies into my diet?

The main reason is eating to promote wellness.  Many fruits, vegetables, herbs, and seeds have substantial health benefits. Nutrient extractors (powerful juicers & blenders) provide people with a fast, efficient, and delicious way to get in their daily doses of fruits, veggies, herbs/seeds, etc.  It is also great way to sneak in some of that produce you might not love the taste of, but you want its nutritional boost.

What is the difference between our juices and our smoothies?

We have done much research to purchase machines that are said to extract the maximum nutrients from our ingredients.

Juicing extracts juices from fruits, roots, leafy greens, vegetables etc.  It crushes, grinds, and/or squeezes the juice out of the pulp.  This separates the skin, pulp, and seeds, providing you with only the pure juice.  The liquid contains most of the vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients.  By leaving out the skins, seeds, etc. you minimize the amount of fiber you are obtaining from your drink.  People needing a low fiber diet should consider juicing vs. smoothies.  Because our juices are 100%  produce/herb driven and don’t contain a base mix such as almond milk, coconut water, etc., these beverages require less in ounces to take in the same amount of produce nutrients.

Our smoothies, made with a Vitamix blender, create a delicious blend from all edible parts of the ingredients; including the skins, seeds, pulp etc.  Smoothies also add a base mixer such as coconut water, almond milk, ice, etc.  which is why our smoothie size is 16 oz. versus the 12 oz. size of most Juice drinks.

The Power of Celery Juice

According to Medical Medium, a 16 oz. glass of celery juice (nothing else) each morning on an empty stomach is said to have amazing healing powers.  He talks of if we could focus on just one aspect of our well-being to transform all others – and at the same time prevent health problems lurking below the surface – it would be to address our liver health.  He states that nearly every challenge has an origin in an overloaded liver and can improve and heal when you harness the force of this humble organ.  www.medicalmedium.com  This is something that my family and I do each morning and Rejuvenate Café does offer Simply Celery on its menu.
