Elizabeth (Beth) Brown is a Licensed Massage Therapist joining our team at North Shore Wellness Club and Lokahi Spa.  We are very excited to have her ,as her positive energy and love of her trade shines through.   After years in the banking and insurance field, she decided to follow her passion in the field of Massage Therapy.  She graduated from Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage where she was voted as one of the best Swedish Massages in her graduating class.  Ever growing in her education, she is currently studying Eric Dalton’s Myoskeletal Alignment techniques.  She is bringing a variety of techniques to the Club to assist us all in our journey of holistic wellness.

Swedish Massage

Massage oil or cream is used with smooth, gliding strokes.  Swedish massage uses gentle pressure to promote relaxation, ease muscle tension, and create an array of health benefits.  It is a classic massage that will ease your stress and allow you to slip into a calm state of relaxation.

Integrative Massage

Designed to treat the whole person using a combination of Swedish, deep tissue, energy work, sound therapy, thermotherapy, aromatherapy, cupping, myofacial release, stretching, or Gua Sha Scraper use. Treatment is based on individual needs at the time of the session with client.

Hot Towel Compression Massage

Hot Towel Compression is a deep tissue massage that incorporates hot damp towels with compressions to ease tension and reduce restricted areas.  Great for athletes or anyone with muscle soreness due to activity or high stress.

Couples Float & Massage Package

This is an experience like none other.  As one person enjoys 60 minutes in our private Float Room, floating effortlessly in pristine, warm water mixed with nearly 1,500 pounds of therapeutic Epsom salt, creating a gravity-free experience, the other person enjoys 60 minutes in our Massage Room relaxing to a Swedish Massage.  Once your first service is complete, you simply flip to the other service receiving two hours of deep physical and mental recovery and relaxation.

What is Massage Therapy?
Massage Therapy is a method of manipulating soft tissue using compression and contraction for the therapeutic, palliative, and self-care or recreational purposes. Massage is a way of communicating with the body.  It is a way for the hands to communicate with the muscles by saying we are here to help you.  It can be performed with a forearm, hand, fingers, thumb, elbow, and even feet.
Why should I explore Massage Therapy?
Many people utilize Massage Therapy as a form of stress relief, to help manage a health condition, prepare for or recover from a sports event, or some people state it rejuvenates their body and refreshens their energy levels.
What are some specific health benefits of Massage Therapy?
There are many possible health benefits from Massage Therapy such as increased circulation, may soothe anxiety or depression, boost immunity, pain management, improved sleep, and increase concentration.
How often should I receive a Massage?
Though frequency varies case to case, the majority of clients go as often as once a week to once a month or two.
What should I expect at my Massage appointment?
Massage should be mutually comfortable for the client and the licensed massage therapist.  Be sure to communicate with your therapist if you have any concerns or questions, and the therapist should explain to you the treatment based upon that communication. You should arrive 15 minutes early for your appointment to allow time for the check-in process, as your appointment time consists of a 5-minute pre-conference, followed by your specified service, ending with 5 minutes for any post-massage follow-up discussions.
